I field a lot of questions about networking online because of my job training people in how to network in the “real world”. Because networking online is a new phenomenon (the large site LinkedIn, for example, is only 5 years old), I’m not always as helpful as I would be. Although I know that there are some similarities between networking online and offline, there are some differences that are key to the eficacia.Yo was so jazzed, therefore, to find Seven Days to Online Network on the platform newcomers in the library. It was a first well in some forms of online networking – especially social networking sites like LinkedIn above, but there was little new information revolution. I’ve been very involved in the creation of online networks in recent years, so it was mostly just reviewing what I already knew. It was also written by two career counselors that means you have a defined job seeker and the emphasis on contact Diane reclutador.Ellen and briefly in the book, but one of the key considerations for creating effective online networking is to be a writer competent. As individuals develop your views on the basis of their appearance in a networking event, so is his ability to write his “first impression” in the online world. You do not have to be Shakespeare or Whitman, just make sure you can use correct grammar and spelling (I know we will examine this article and find all my mistakes now). If your writing skills are not up to snuff, do not preclude the creation of online networks, but start working to improve because the online world is not going away pronto.Dicho this networking online can be a great opportunity if you feel better behind the keyboard than in person. If you are not sure that with his interpersonal skills, developing an Internet presence can be a very eficaz.LinkedIn is a site useful, although I have not found it so useful for small businesses, as it could be for those that in a business environment. Whatever its function, it is worth investing time creating a fully fleshed profile and at least a core network. A great aspect of a LinkedIn profile is that you can use as an online resume / bio, if you have a website. Send it to your potential customers (which is my own idea was to add to the book.) Ellen and Diane mention this, and I emphasize – you have to spend time maintaining its presence in online networking. It can be as little as 30 minutes a week, depending on what you are doing. Take a specific part of the day or week to update their profiles, send emails, write to your blog or comment on other blogs personas.Un useful advice I got was that my online name clearer (because in my If there is a lot of fishermen in line of David). That’s why my initial use online all – JP David Fisher. Do a Google search on his name and see what happens. How can you be on the first page of Google? You devote a chapter to the use of blogs to develop their online presence. If you just want to blog about their thoughts or what happened in your day, go for it – but do not believe that networking and online. For your blog to be effective as a networking tool, you have to ask a few questions early. 1) Do you have something people want to read about (actually, do not let your ego cost)? 2) Are you willing to put in the effort to promote the blog and get people to read (there are an astronomical number of blogs written – but how many read)? 3) Can you make constant effort to keep the blog and keep it updated with fresh material? If you read this book? Maybe. It’s a good description of the scene of online networking as it exists right now (that will change and evolve). If you are a newbie and do not know where to start, I recommend this book to give an understanding of the landscape. If you have any experience and probably will not come with much more than it already has – might spend 20 minutes surfing blogs and reach the same consejos.Rating: 3 / 5

I am an executive recruiter and thought I had a pretty good knowledge of Linked In. I have recommended this book to about 50 people since I finished reading it (the first time) – and I know of several that have already gone out and bought it. They are delighted with it too! I could not do the day at a time I had to read everything and then go back and do each step:) Rest assured this book includes many ideas on how to increase your efficiency with networking Line Linked In is just one of the great temas.Me like the way it is written with the point highlighted in the side of the page and the key points that are observed at the end of each chapter. They want to ensure that “doing”! 7 DAYS A NETWORK ONLINE has information for everyone from beginners to very advanced user. Not only will you become familiar with the “where to start” from certain sites, but also “do’s and don’ts” – and more importantly the “why” of todo.La progression in the book leads to the next step ( blogs), and the different levels of participation, what it does for you as a credible source, and how it may affect your career. These include the “how” to do so well! Recommended Resources section at the end of the book is divided into categories with partner sites that are the “icing on the cake.” Ellen Sautter and Diane Crompton did a tremendous job in the book is very valuable information and can not believe that this book costs less than $ 10!
